The Group expects to close the year with a total purchase order for serial brands of 450 million Euros, confirming and consolidating the extraordinary result already achieved in 2017.

The Group continued its strong commercial penetration on a global scale. From a geographic point of view, in percentage terms on consolidated order book, as at August 31st, 2018, Europe - Middle East - Africa contributed for 49% of new orders, Americas for 36% and Asia Pacific for 15%.

After the first 8 months of 2018, the Group achieved consolidated revenues of 420 million Euros, +22% compared to the same period of 2017 (344 M€). The estimates for 2018 are confirmed, which foresee a production value of 704 million euros.

The Group continues the investment plan as the core asset of its strategic line. In the 2016-2018 three-year period, around 133,5 million euros were invested in product development and industrial capacity, which allowed a rapid pace in the renewal of the range. From 2015 to 2018, 30 new models were produced, including the magnificent Cannes world premières, ready to sail the waters of the world during the next 2018/19 nautical season: Riva 110' Dolcevita, Riva 66' Ribelle, Ferretti Yachts 670, Custom Line Navetta 42 and Custom Line120'.

“Cannes is like a grand gala, one comes to shine and leave a mark. This year we participate with the fleet of wonders: 25 magnificent yachts, with 5 world premières representing 3 of our brands" - said Alberto Galassi. “As always, the show is also an opportunity to make an initial assessment of the brilliant results achieved this year. The figures for the first eight months of 2018, characterized in particular by a production value higher than last year of 22%, confirm that we are on the right course. No miracle, everyone has been working hard, and the awareness of our strength, keeping year after year the commitment to invest in product development, production capacity and technological innovation. As evidence of the effectiveness of a growth strategy based on the constant renewal of our product range, almost 70% of revenues is the result of the success of the serial models presented in the last four years. We continue to believe in beauty, improvement of performance and attention to detail, because this is what our customers appreciate: an inimitable mix of Made in Italy quality and elegance that places us at the top of the nautical scene”.

CRN: 86 Metres of innovation and dynamism for the new explorer yacht designed by Harrison Eidsgaard

November 27, 2017

CRN, the historical Italian shipbuilder and brand, part of the Ferretti Group, specialising in the construction of fully-custom steel and aluminium pleasure vessels between 40 and 100 metres in length, presents its new project, an 86-metre Explorer Yacht designed by Harrison Eidsgaard.

This new innovative and dynamic 86-metre Explorer Yacht embodies CRN’s DNA while also epitomising the cutting-edge style of Harrison Eidsgaard, one of the leading international yachting design firms. The London-based designers have indeed cooperated with CRN to create this vessel, harmonising the fresh style of their brand with the historical heritage, know-how, and craftsmanship of one of the most important shipyards creating iconic fully-custom yachts in Europe.

Conceived for an Owner used to enjoying long voyages with his family all over the world, including in remote locations, this project empowers the concept of ‘exploration’ through areas specifically designed to house water toys and tenders that will allow to discover the most exciting and scenic corners, from the coastline to the most secluded bays, all the way to the sea depths. All guest areas, in turn, have been designed to ensure a constant, direct visual contact with the sea. This was the starting point for the design firm, which is vital to understand the various aesthetic and functional solutions that have taken shape during the long, painstaking creation of this new 86-metre Explorer yacht. Conceiving dedicated areas for a large number of specific tenders and water toys as part of a refined exterior design was a real challenge. An example of this is the installation of a forward davit capable of easily lifting, launching and hauling tenders and toys up to 50 tons. The wish to create a functional yacht and to ensure easy operations for the crew strategically drove the design of the yacht’s outer lines too, with an eye to obtaining a layout that would keep the guest living areas separate from the service areas where the crew will be operating.

Considering the ‘Explorer’ character of the yacht, the project features airy interior spaces with extensive glazed surfaces in the guest areas, first and foremost in the salons, allowing to enjoy navigation to the fullest regardless of outside weather conditions. Similarly, the interior layout and décor have been conceived to maximise onboard comfort and relaxation, thanks to magnificent panoramic views. It is not by chance that one of the key areas onboard is a spectacular terrace running along the entire Owner’s deck, recreating the atmosphere of an exclusive loft in New York and letting the family enjoy the utmost privacy and intimacy, especially during long-range cruising.

“Versatility, functionality, and elegance are the core features of our shipyard’s timeless yachts. Our close cooperation with leading international designers like Harrison Eidsgaard allows us to propose explorer yachts that have always been part of our DNA. Indeed, as early as in the 1980s CRN was a pioneer in the design and construction of an explorer yacht, the first one in international pleasure boating - the F100, designed by Gerhard Gilgenast in 1982. With Harrison Eisdgaard, we now want to go back to those values that have led us to be what we are today. We are really excited about this new cooperation, which has resulted in a very original concept”, declared CRN’s Chief Commercial Officer Stefano De Vivo.

“We have developed an explorer yacht capable of ensuring great functionality and ease of use while also boasting stylish exterior lines and spacious areas in direct contact with the sea, so as to meet the future Owners’ passion and love. Unprecedented, state-of-the-art solutions like the ones found onboard this yacht are the result of the long-standing experience and expertise of a historical shipyard like CRN”, declared Harrison Eidsgaard designers.

The new 86-metre Explorer Yacht can boast functionality, innovation and dynamism among its main strengths, which go hand in hand with the great comfort of interiors, resulting in unmatched pleasure during navigation and a constant relationship with the sea.

Attending the event as the owner's representatives were the yacht's captain and Jason Wood, the US broker through whom the sale was made.

The official delivery is due at the end of 2017 Afterwards Custom Line 120’ will head for the United States - a hugely successful market for the brand and the owner's native land - for its memorable world première event in Florida. The new yacht will then make Miami its base, where it will sail between Florida and the Caribbean and will also provide a charter service.

The product of a joint effort between the design studio of Milan-based architect Francesco Paszkowski and the Ferretti Group's Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department, Custom Line 120’ marks a major turning point in the development of the brand's planing fleet and is set to become the icon of a new era for Custom Line.

The yacht combines traditional stylistic features of boating with elements and characteristics that are typical of automotive design and civil architecture. A very thorough research on contemporary trends has also enhanced forms and volumes through furnishing choices in line with state-of-the-art interior design.
